An attack in broad daylight in the urban center of Porto Torres . In the park of San Gavino, one of the places where kids should feel safe. Instead, in a few moments a thirteen-year-old girl was yanked and threatened with death . Together with her friend, her age, they were first intimidated and then robbed of their mobile phones. One of them suffered physical violence.
The man, 41-year-old FG from Porto Torres, already known to the police, was stopped in via Sassari, near the I Granai supermarket while waiting to get on the bus. The 41-year-old was arrested on charges of robbery and grievous bodily harm. The facts date back to last Thursday.
It was just after 1 pm when the two girls, after spending a few moments in the municipal library, decide to have a sandwich in the park, a lunch break before returning to the books.
Sitting on a bench, they scrolled through the images on their cell phone. Suddenly a man appears from behind, grabs one of them, holds her down and threatens her with a health card, as if it were a weapon. He inflicts injuries on her, then yells at her: «I'll tear you open like a pear. Get out your cell phone.'
The terrified girl replies: "Don't kill me, I'm only 13." The frightened friend also hands over the cell phone asking him to be able to keep the sim. The man didn't hesitate for a moment. He took the key from his wallet to extract the code, then disappeared. What was supposed to be a quiet day turned into hell. The girls ran away for home. They cried in despair.
«My daughter told me about the terrible episode, - says the mother of the minor - but when she showed me the marks on her neck, I realized the true gravity of what happened. So I didn't hesitate for a moment to go to the police to file a complaint". A patrol started from the barracks in via Antonelli and stopped the 41-year-old in via Sassari.
"Don't go to the police because I'll kill you where I find you." So he had threatened the two young women. "I still can't forget my daughter's terrified look - adds the mother - I can't accept that she was attacked in a place considered safe by all, where it is expected to be controlled by a video surveillance system and by those in charge to do it. But in what state of mind can parents live?
The attacked young woman was accompanied by the medical guard who assigned her three days of treatment for the grazes on her neck. It remains a trauma, difficult for a teenager to overcome.
