Weddings can be celebrated on the exclusive beach of Porto Rafael, even on weekends. With all due respect to the owners of the fabulous villas in the prestigious resort on the coast of Palau . This was decided by the Tar of Sardinia, which rejected the appeal against the Municipality presented by the "consortium of owners of Punta Sardegna and Porto Rafael".

At the center of the dispute in the village founded by the Count of Berlanga, Rafael Neville, who gave it his name, was a resolution by the Giunta di Palau which allows the celebration of weddings in a portion of 50 square meters of the Piazzetta beach (extended in all just under 300), on Saturdays, Sundays, Tuesdays and Thursdays in time slots ranging from 10 to 13 and from 15 to 17.

Not bad if the fateful yes is pronounced in winter. But if it happened in the summer, complain the owners of the villas in that corner of paradise, spouses and their guests would prevent them from being able to enjoy the beach, which has always been exclusive, which they have just a stone's throw from the patio. There are already three concessions to limit the enjoyment of the beach, they continue. Weekend weddings would be unacceptable.

For the Tar it is not a problem. Because the "multi-year state concession for temporary use aimed at celebrating civil weddings on beaches" is limited in days and time slots. Therefore, it is enough for the villa owners to be satisfied with the rest of the sand, if there are weddings, or go at the seaside when no one is getting married.

A decision taken in line with the orientation of the Council of State on the matter.
