Porto Cervo in mourning for the death of Don Raimondo Satta , priest of the “Stella Maris” church, nicknamed the “VIP parish priest”.

He was the confessor or spiritual guide of many well-known personalities, as well as of princes, nobles and politicians who frequent the Costa Smeralda.

Olbiese by birth , Don Satta died in Sassari, in hospital, where he had been hospitalized for some time, at the age of 62 .

"Being the parish priest of Porto Cervo is the most normal thing for me", he declared in recent years in an interview with the Giornale. Adding: " Porto Cervo is a place like any other , Stella Maris exists in summer and winter , which changes its face. When I give the homily on Sunday it is not a different homily from the one I give in winter, I speak the same language, only in summer there is a different audience, you have different faithful ".

Director of the Higher Institute of Religious Sciences Sassari-Tempio-Ampurias "Euromediterraneo", Raimondo Satta was also a writer and popularizer .
