Polstrada blitz on the coast from Quartu to Cagliari and in Viale Marconi , near the well-known nightlife venues, where the vehicular flow is greatest, but also the entire Cagliari hinterland.

The aim of the activity was to carry out widespread checks to try to prevent road accidents as much as possible , trying to make road users understand the need for a reversal of the trend that can promote greater road safety in anticipation of the zero road deaths in 2050.

5 patrols were deployed, 88 vehicles and 156 people were checked . Overall , 7 driving licenses were withdrawn and 172 points deducted , and 8 vehicles were placed under administrative seizure. There were 5 drivers reported for driving while intoxicated , with an average age of 32 years.

A forty-year-old with several police records was reported for driving while intoxicated, with a blood alcohol level approximately three times higher than the maximum limit permitted by law : he was reported for refusing to undergo tests by medical personnel for the search for narcotic substance in the body.

After the necessary checks, the man had his driving license withdrawn and the vehicle was subjected to seizure with a view to confiscation.
