The public toilets of Poetto , at the fourth stop on the city's waterfront, were vandalized during the night. The work on toilet number two, after years of lack of maintenance, had been completed just two weeks ago. Yet, one night and the carelessness of a few were enough to ruin the interventions and investments of the Municipality.

The bathroom is one of three services that had been made available recently, with refined and functional interiors. The municipal administration had started the interventions with the aim of making them available before the summer season. "An investment of 25 thousand euros for each service , made vain by an uncivil act that is detrimental to the entire city, causing a useless waste of public resources - the administration says - Despite a dynamic surveillance service on the seafront, not being able to guarantee the presence of custodians 24 hours a day for each individual toilet, other surveillance systems will be evaluated".

The municipality will now repair the damage and "at the same time continue to raise awareness of respect for public places, the heritage of all."
