The forest patrol recovered them, simultaneously alerting the regional network for the protection of marine fauna. Thanks to the intervention of the biologists of the Villasimius AMP, the small turtles were brought to safety: collected in a sterile container, they were then released from the gulf sea, in total safety.

The Caretta caretta nest from which they were born was not among the 9 known in Sardinia, located and constantly monitored by the Regional Network as well as by the Forestry Corps. The intervention and rescue was successful also thanks to the collaboration of the citizens who alerted the Forestry Corps through its environmental emergency number, 1515.
