A painting of sand sculpted in front of the sea, a flight of crows in a wheat field which, although it does not have the colors of Vincent Van Gogh's painting , due to its composition of natural elements transmits emotions to anyone who happens to pass by, on the Sorso coast. It is one of the many artistic works by Nicola Urru , the sculptor from Nuoro who chose Platamona's third-comb beach as his favorite place in which to give vent to his artistic streak.

This time he wanted to pay homage to the Dutch painter by tracing one of his masterpieces, a symbolic representation of his feelings, a mix of colors and elements, a landscape where the wheat is life like the bright blue sky, which suddenly becomes darker and becomes gloomy almost to announce the storm, therefore sadness and loneliness, feelings that characterized Van Gogh's life.

«The bright blue sky and the shining golden grain are, as such, a triumph of vitality – explains the sculptor – but they are about to succumb, overcome by the dark color that covers them. Like the artist who paints them, in a last desperate appeal to life."
