Hours waiting at the airport. The odyssey of the passengers of the Ryanair flight Cagliari-Pisa. Departure scheduled for 21:15 yesterday. The plane took off only after midnight. In the middle, feelings oscillating between anger and resignation for the umpteenth mockery suffered by those who must move from the Island to the Continent.

First the mystery of a plane that did not take off. Then the official communication from the company : «Flight Fr6100 from Cagliari to Pisa is delayed due to a technical problem with the aircraft. We have organized a replacement plane to operate the flight, but this has caused a delay. The scheduled departure time is 00.20 local time». In the meantime, a four euro voucher for dinner arrived. A frugal dinner given the budget: a sandwich and a glass of water.

Someone tried to sleep in uncomfortable positions in the seats in the departures area . Among the passengers was the historian and journalist Chiara Nencioni who, a few minutes after midnight, sent a liberating message from her cell phone: "They're boarding us." Pisa seemed closer and the disappointment for the time spent at the airport (three hours in the end) turned into tiredness and a desire to forget.
