A happy ending for little Rajo, a colony cat who lives in Perdaxius and who in recent days has sparked a solidarity campaign in the village for her rescue .

"She had been missing for two days ," Jessica Serra , who has been looking after the colony for some time with the aim of opening a shelter for abandoned cats in the village, explained to Unionesarda.it, "and by pure chance we realized she was trapped in the rainwater pipes ." "The Carbonia Fire Brigade arrived immediately and started digging," Jessica continues, "but at a certain point you couldn't hear her meowing anymore, so they stopped, thinking she had moved . We checked everywhere, but nothing. Then, that night, I went back and heard her voice again. The next morning the firefighters started digging again until they finally managed to get her out ."

"It was an emotional moment, after two days of fear and hope," Jessica adds, "but what struck me most was the solidarity of the village: everyone stopped, asking if they could help and if Rajo had finally been freed."

"She's home now, a little scared but fine," Jessica concludes. She once again thanks the firefighters for their invaluable work , but also the entire town "for the love shown to this stray."
