The investigations of the Carabinieri of the Compagnia di Lanusei are underway on the accident that cost the life of yesterday Lorenzo Cugusi , a 74-year-old former laboratory technician.
The military seized the freight elevator that was carrying wood to the pensioner's apartment and which suddenly gave way.
The accident took place yesterday afternoon around 18 in via Tortolì : the pensioner had just loaded the wood that he had to carry up to the balcony of his apartment. When he operated the electronic device to raise the pulley, the hoist suddenly came down and overwhelmed him.
The 118 doctors intervened on the spot and tried to revive him for a long time, but in vain. The body is now at the disposal of the judicial authority which could decide to order an autopsy .
A neighbor who was nearby was also slightly injured in the accident.
