Enrollments at the Mario Paglietti Higher Education Institute are registering a boom in applications in the four campuses: High School (scientific, linguistic and scientific-sports), Nautical, Ipia-Professional, all of Porto Torres and the Linguistic High School of Castelsardo. Over a thousand students will return to school on the day of the first bell set for Thursday 12 September. In total, there are 207 new students, with 120 enrollments at the High School of Porto Torres and Castelsardo. Five first classes at the High School, three at the Nautical and one first at the Professional. Enrollments are open for the tenth consecutive year for evening courses for adults who, after having chosen to work by interrupting their studies, have decided to recover thanks to the training program authorized by the Ministry of Education, structured in three teaching periods whose duration is established by the "individual training agreement" of each student, aimed at obtaining the technical education diploma. "Our challenge is the pact with the ITS Mo.So.S Foundation, - explains the school director Daniele Taras - the post-diploma higher technical institute for high technical training for sustainable mobility and the sea based in Cagliari, which the municipal administration has also joined, an opportunity for young people who graduate from the Nautical, Professional and High Schools of the Paglietti Institute present in the area, as through training the didactic experience is combined with the development of skills enabling the world of work". There are 14 free training courses prepared for the 2024-2026 training period throughout the region by the ITS Mo.So.S Foundation, the special school of technology in the sectors of sustainable mobility and maritime economy. In particular, in Porto Torres the ITS has organized the course for Higher Technician for logistics and intermodality. These are training courses that boast an employment rate of 97 percent and are aimed at graduates who wish to invest in their future and acquire high-level skills in the technological area of mobility of people and goods, production and maintenance of means of transport or related infrastructures, management of infomobility and logistics infrastructures.
