Over 6 thousand unsafe toys are seized: operation in northern Sardinia

Over 6 thousand unsafe toys, ready to be placed on the market, were seized by the financial police of the provincial command of Sassari.

The yellow flames have come into action in recent days and have controlled 37 commercial activities in Sassari, Alghero, Arzachena, Bono, Bonorva, Castelsardo, La Maddalena, Olbia, Ozieri, Palau, Porto Torres, Santa Teresa Gallura, Sorso and Tempio Pausania. Irregularities emerged in over half of the investigations. In particular in relation to the product safety legislation (Legislative Decree 206/2005 - Consumer Code and Legislative Decree 54/2011 implementing Directive no. 2009/48 / EC), 19 merchants got into trouble to whom 6 thousand toys were seized and the related administrative report was sent to the competent Chamber of Commerce.

Further investigations are also underway to identify product supply channels.

During the same activities, 3 irregular workers were identified.
