Approximately 1350 tons of Posidonia collected and transported to the treatment center from January to today, over 400 tons of precious clean sand returned to the base and repositioned on the beaches of origin.

The balance of the beach cleaning operations is promising, with a significant phase underway that sees the beach of San Giovanni at the center of an important makeover operation. "The goal - explains the Ecology Councilor Raniero Selva - is to expand the beach up to the edge of the canal, in order to offer a new and wider opportunity to enjoy the coast to citizens and visitors". In fact, in these days, the freeing of a further 15 meters of beach from the posidonia is planned, to obtain a completely clean beach.
