Ossi barricades himself in his house and then attacks the police armed with a knife.

A 20-year-old man, barricaded in his home, attacked the Carabinieri. It happened in Ossi on Thursday night, when the young man, armed with a knife, locked himself in the house and, despite the officers' attempts to talk, refused to come out.

At a certain point, with the help of the firefighters, the police entered the apartment and, at the sight of them, the boy first injured himself with the weapon and then threw himself at the police, knife in hand.

The latter managed to subdue and disarm him, and one of them suffered injuries that would heal within five days. Arrested on charges of resisting a public officer, he was taken to court in Sassari yesterday for a fast-track hearing, where he was represented by lawyer Vincenzina Oggiano.

Carabinieri from the Sassari Mobile Radio section and those from the Usini station participated in the arrest.
