Four people were injured in a serious road accident on state highway 129, at kilometer 60, between Orotelli and S'Iffurcau, where two cars collided head-on.

All the occupants, trapped in the vehicles, were extracted by the Fire Brigade, who intervened from Nuoro, and subsequently handed over to the 118 medical personnel.

The people involved suffered various fractures and bruises and were transported to the hospital.

The Carabinieri also responded to the accident scene, conducting the necessary investigations to determine the circumstances of the accident and regulating traffic during the rescue and road safety operations. Traffic is closed in both directions.
