Oristano, thieves (still) in action in the underground car parks
It is the fifth theft in less than a month at the ATMs

A two week break. Then they jumped into action again.
Yet another raid in Oristano against the automatic tills in the underground car parks. This is the fifth burglary.
The thieves left their signature last night again in vico Verdi. Also this time they opened the chest from above with a lever and then took the loot and ran away. Yet another damage for the company that manages paid parking: around 3,000 euros are needed to fix the till. However, it is not yet known how much the loot amounts to.
Once again the thieves acted without fear, despite the presence of the cameras on display.
The vandals looking for money for the first time went into action on the night between 21 and 22 January in via Carducci. On 26 January, however, the till in the underground car park in via Mariano was tampered with. Then in vico Verdi, again in via Carducci and last night again in vico Verdi where the machinery had already been restored.
Giancarlo Milia, one of the managers of the company that manages the parking lots, vents: «We can no longer go on like this. We can't figure out why law enforcement still can't stop the gang. The cameras caught everything in detail. They're forcing us to patrol at night. Now I will ask the prefect and the mayor to intervene. We feel alone."
