Oristano, the “pink telephone” is launched

A special telephone number , which could save those in danger .

The San Martino hospital in Oristano , on the occasion of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, starting this afternoon is making a “pink telephone” available to women , a dedicated telephone line to support victims of violence and encourage them to break the silence , providing concrete tools and addresses to turn to for help.

Dr. Emanuela Meloni, contact person for gender violence pathways for the ASL of Oristano, and her colleague Gabriella Miscali will be available for telephone interviews and consultations today and Monday 25, from 4 to 7 pm, at the number 0783 317397.

The telephone helpline will function as a listening point where women can request information, tell their story or make a specific request.
