Oristano: Man selling veterinary drugs online without a prescription faces a hefty fine.
A company based in the province faces a website shutdown and heavy fines.

It sold tens of thousands of packages of veterinary drugs online, which could only be sold upon presentation of an electronic veterinary prescription.
For this reason, at the request of the NAS Carabinieri of Cagliari, members of the operational unit of the Carabinieri Health Protection Command in Rome attended the offices of a company based in the province of Oristano to receive notification of a decree from the Ministry of Health requiring the website to be shut down.
The investigation revealed that the company had distributed a total of 47,057 drugs via e-commerce between February and September 2024 alone .
The legal representative was also notified of a fine of €20,658.
