Three trumpet blasts, those that are heard only during the Sartiglia, of which he was the official speaker for a lifetime from the balcony of the cathedral, in via Duomo. Then a long applause and lots and lots of emotion .

So this afternoon the city of Oristano greeted Enrico Fiori, 81 years old . Many have reached the church of Sant'Efisio, in the heart of Su Brugu, the neighborhood where the founder of the Oristano folk group lived, surrounded by the many Sardinian and Spanish clothes that he made with his own hands for the jousting knights and beyond.

Don Alessandro Floris, from the altar, wanted to remember Enrico, the one who in the 60s carried out the studies that then made it possible to reconstruct the traditional costume of Oristano: «I was surprised by the avalanche of messages that many wanted to leave on social remember Enrico - he said - If today the church is full inside and out there will be a reason. Enrico teaches us that time, which is precious to everyone, can and must also be dedicated to others. That's exactly what he did ."

All "his" dancers in traditional dress were present at the funeral. But there were also historical ones such as Rita Carta, Gabriella Collu, Francesco and Adriana Muscas. Paolo Vanacore then ascended the altar, now he is the leader of the folk group of Oristano, an important legacy for him: « If after 40 years I still wear the traditional costume of Oristano with honor, it is thanks to Enrico, for me a friend special. He was able to overwhelm everyone, to make traditions loved, to bring even the very young to culture. It was fun for us. He made at least 5 generations dance ».

Vanacore always wanted to tell various anecdotes: «Many years ago, during an event, the group was left without a player. Enrico, however, managed to find one almost immediately. But he didn't have the Sardinian dress. However, he also managed to find the dress, but the underpants were missing. At that point he cut two pillowcases from the hotel pillow. Then he sewed them and created what was missing. He was unique - he goes on - He did everything with great passion, with love . Enrico died two days ago - concludes Paolo Vanacore - shortly after his group stopped dancing during an event in Piazza Eleonora. I like to think that this was no coincidence."

The hearse, before reaching the cemetery, stopped for a few minutes in via Aristana where there is the headquarters of the Gremio dei Contadini, the one that Enrico Fiori decorated for a lifetime on the occasion of the dressing of su componidori.
