Extraordinary road maintenance is underway in Oristano.

These are interventions for a total of 270 thousand euros, two financed by the Ministry of the Interior with 125 and 65 thousand euros respectively and one with 78 thousand euros of municipal funds.

"Among the many interventions aimed at ensuring better pedestrian and vehicular mobility, the projects will focus above all on road sections affected by a conspicuous amount of traffic, which present evident criticalities or on which there are particular needs for the presence of services and commercial activities. Among these, therefore, via Limbara, via Petri, via Adua a Silì, the entrance to San Quirico, via Figoli and via Canepa - explains the mayor Andrea Lutzu -. They are being studied, but ready to enter the implementation phase as early as the next weeks, also other important interventions on urban roads and architectural barriers ".

In detail, the road surface will be rebuilt in via Limbara in the section between the traffic island roundabout of Campo Tharros and the intersection with via Gennargentu. In via Dorando Petri (an important entry route to the city also for vehicles coming from the area and the industrial port as well as from Santa Giusta and Terralbese) the reconstruction concerns the section between the roundabout of Campo Tharros and the roundabout with via Gennargentu. The reconstruction of the road surface of via Adua (the main ridge of Silì) affects the section between the intersections with via Martiri del Congo and San Pietro. In via Figoli the reconstruction of the road surface is related to the section between the entrance with the piazza Roma and the intersection with via Mariano IV d'Arborea.

"In this stretch of street, with two subsequent interventions, the sidewalks are being rebuilt, therefore, the intervention envisaged in this project represents the completion of the arrangement of the street" observes the councilor for public works Francesco Pinna. Remaking of the sidewalks also in via Canepa between the intersections with via Donizetti and via Cimarosa. An intervention also involves the main access road to the hamlet of San Quirico from the provincial road 67. Furthermore, interventions aimed at localized reconstruction of roads or sidewalks are planned.
