Accused of mistreating children at a nursery school, an eighty-year-old nun was sentenced to three years and nine months by the panel of judges of the Court of Oristano. The sentence was issued a short while ago; some of the children's parents filed a civil action and also asked for compensation for damages that the Court liquidated provisionally with amounts ranging from 500 to 2,000 euros.

The incident dates back to a few years ago and happened in a nursery school in a town in the Oristano area : the children had been mistreated by the nun who punished them in harsh ways. To the point that the little ones refused to go to nursery school.

The parents' complaint triggered the investigation and today it ended with the judges' sentence.
