The music of the Brigata Sassari will provide the soundtrack to the rebirth of the park that bears its name. A moving flag-raising ceremony, attended by officials and students, will mark the reopening of the park on Via Solferino in Oristano, reopened to the public after its redevelopment on Thursday at 11 a.m.

The project involved the recovery of the existing building and the construction of a new building (both intended as a service centre with spaces for culture and laboratories), the redevelopment of the green area with new furnishings, equipment and games for children.

"The park is a place of civic remembrance," Mayor Massimiliano Sanna emphasizes. "It was named after the Sassari Brigade in 2008, with a plaque commemorating the fallen and featuring General Diaz's bulletin of November 4, 1918."

For Environment Councilor Maria Bonaria Zedda, "It will be an opportunity not only to give the city a renovated park, but also to experience a moment of music, history, and shared memory." And a focus on young people: "A redeveloped park," observes Education Councilor Simone Prevete, "is not just a place for recreation, but an open-air laboratory, where people can learn to embrace community values and feel part of a shared history."

The park will be closed tomorrow for a disinfection program scheduled by the Province.
