Three quintals of marijuana seized by officers from the Orgosolo and Gavoi Police Stations during a series of inspections ordered by the Police Chief of the Province of Nuoro Alfonso Polverino aimed at combating drug trafficking.

Two plantations were identified by the police, both in the Orgosolo countryside and both equipped with drip irrigation systems.

In the first one, about 500 plants were found and two men, surprised on the spot, were arrested.

In a second plot of land, State Police personnel reported another person, who had access to a plantation consisting of approximately 80 hemp plants.

The two seizures come a few days after the Mobile Squad discovered a third cannabis plantation in the Ottana area, where approximately 3,600 plants had been found, with the officers filing charges against three people in that case, the owners of the field and the person responsible for the cultivation.
