Ten exhibitions to admire the art and tradition of the town of Ittiri, local agri-food and handicraft products , cultural initiatives , dances and songs in the square. At the 17th edition of the Prendas di Ittiri event, the showcase of excellence is staged, a two-day program scheduled for Saturday 12 (from 3 pm) and Sunday 13 November, to offer a wide range of discovering a territory that in the sign of tradition manages to innovate and renew itself.

After the forced arrest due to the pandemic that affected everyone's usual activities, this year the demonstration resumes its presence free from restrictions. Prendas has decided to come back in autumn "to take the best of the first fruits of the agri-food products that characterize and distinguish our territory", underlined the president of the Prendas association, Giovanna Casiddu . The exhibition of the "Prendas" in the private homes of the historic center, "dae Domo in Domo", is reconfirmed, with the aim of both involving the whole town in the organization of the event, and giving visitors the opportunity to grasp together with the excellences Coros also the beauty of the buildings of Ittiri, another important resource of the territory.

The exhibition itinerary extends along Corso Vittorio Emanuele , in order to make the visit to the exhibitions and exhibitors less distracting, with various collateral events and itinerant animations . Worthy of note is the exhibition by Beppe Porcheddu , a multifaceted book illustrator from Ittiri, a house set up by the association of young people with disabilities "Il Sorriso". At the center of the initiative is also the census of the traditional dress of Ittiri, in particular of “ Su Estire Ruju ”, the party dress, made by families in anticipation of the wedding.

"Prendas authentically represents the values of the country - said the mayor, Antonio Sau , - exhibited in this artistic, artisan and enogastronomic stage of the territory, an event that has grown over time, together with the quality of our oil productions. and wine, giving an excellent image to the municipality and trying to infect young people to undertake entrepreneurial paths in these sectors ".

The councilor of the Prendas association, Mario Deriu , and the first president, as well as municipal councilor, Gavino Pinna , were present at the presentation at the headquarters of the Sardinia Foundation.
