They tricked a woman into obtaining her bank account and card details through links, text messages and calls.
The victim, a resident of Ovodda, had over €5,000 taken away. Thus the Carabinieri of the Compagnia di Tonara reported three people , investigated for having devised the scam. Two of them, a man and a woman of Campania origin, had taken possession of the sum of money at the beginning of the year.
The script repeats itself with a man residing in Torre del Greco (NA), who was denounced by the military for plotting a scam against a Tonara worker for a total of €1900. The position of the suspects is now being examined by the Judicial Authority.
Numerous online frauds have also been reported in the Mandrolisai and Barbagia di Belvì areas. In the country, a man lost €600 after following a fraudulent procedure received via SMS, from the "PosteInfo" number. Once his data was entered, he was contacted by a fake operator who - under the pretext of blocking anomalous payments made with the card - instead appropriated the money. In the same way, a young man from Ortueri lost €790.
In Tonara, on the other hand, the complaint of a woman who saw 3 unauthorized transactions on her credit card for a value of 150 €. In the same country, a man did not receive his order after buying spare parts for his car online. Meanwhile the seller has disappeared.
