An almost new Fiat Panda at the modest price of 3 thousand euros. A 57-year-old employee from Villacidro didn't want to miss out on the offer found on the Subito.it website and stumbled upon yet another scam.

After telephone contacts with the sellers, he made a series of bank transfers for a total of 1,850 euros as a deposit, then the negotiations stopped and the vehicle was never delivered. Obviously the advertisers disappeared from the web and the telephone number contacted turned out to be unreachable.

So the woman filed a complaint with the police at the local station who, by following the path of the money and checking the telephone numbers, managed to trace the scammers. A 43-year-old from Milan and a 33-year-old from Rome were reported, both homeless and untraceable.
