In Sardinia, the business of renewables is galloping. To the point that, in the space of a few years, more than 70 thousand plants have sprung up, the vast majority of which are photovoltaic.

But what is most striking is the overtaking of so-called alternative energies over non-renewable ones. The power of the plants installed as of March 31, 2025 is 6,025 megawatts, ten years ago the power was 5,540 Mw.

The renewable energy produced (at the first Terna quarterly survey of 2025) is equal to 3,660 MW, that from non-renewables is 2,365 MW.
