Looking at the numbers, in Sardinia school is not a safe place for our children. The latest Svimez report (which incorporates data from the Ministry of Education) indicates that on the island only 10.2% of high school students attend a school with safety and fire prevention certifications. Things are worse for middle school students (just 7% of them have lessons in safe buildings) and primary school children (6.7%), but the most worrying data concerns nursery school children: only 3.9% are followed in a proper structure.
