A twist in the investigation into the death of Flavio Pellegrino, a 61-year-old gardener from Olbia killed on 31 August 2020 by an electric discharge while he was carrying out maintenance work in the villa of Count Luigi Donà dalle Rose in Porto Rotondo.

Claudia Manconi, the prosecutor of Tempio Pausania, who had asked for the dismissal of the charges against the five suspects, backed off. This morning he withdrew his request and proposed to the investigating judge Claudio Cozzella to order a new appraisal on the villa and on the systems , which the investigating judge ordered.

The new appraisal will have to examine not only the electrical system, but also all the building permits and which concern the safety of the villa, the swimming pool and the technical room where the gardener died .

For that tragic accident, the following are investigated for manslaughter : Pierluigi Pisu, owner of the company "The green thumb" which carried out maintenance work in the villa, Count Luigi Donà dalle Rose and his son Leonardo, the owners of the two companies that carried out the work on the electrical connections and on the electric pump, Maximilano Luca Moggi and Fabrizio Manca.

The appraisal must be filed within 60 days and then the prosecutor must reformulate or not the request for indictment for all 5 suspects.
