Eleven jars full of sand, even labeled with the name of the beach they come from.
Yet another theft of sand foiled in Sardinia: the protagonists are two Modenese tourists stopped during boarding from the port of Olbia, leaving for Livorno.
The Security agents of the Sardinia Sea Port System Authority, inspecting the trunk of the car, found the 11 jars. All the sand came from beaches in Gallura: Capriccioli, Il Principe, Lu Impostu, Cala Brandinchi, Liscia Ruja, Tre Monti, Romazzino, Grande Pevero, Cala Battistoni, La Celvia.
The sand was seized and the two tourists reported to the Customs Agency, Olbia operational section.
Today's is the second case of theft against the Sardinian beaches and sea in just three days. The last fact is that of Saturday afternoon, with the reporting of two Italians who had attempted to embark, again from the port of Olbia, with a protected specimen of pinna nobilis and some shells.
