The 83-year-old woman who was hit this morning in Sassari is in critical condition. She is hospitalized in the intensive care unit at Santissima Annunziata Hospital with a guarded prognosis.

According to initial reconstructions, the elderly woman was reaching the other side of the street on Via Amendola, near Via Don Minzoni, when she was hit by a car and fell violently to the ground.

Transported by 118 to the Santissima Annunziata hospital with a red code, she allegedly suffered cardiac arrest and was immediately resuscitated by the operators.

Local police officers also arrived at the scene of the accident to determine the circumstances of the incident.
