The Provincial Command of Sassari triggers Operation "Safe Christmas 2023", intensifying controls to protect consumers and aimed at cracking down on the trade of unsafe and potentially dangerous items.

And so in recent days the Fiamme Gialle of the Olbia Group have carried out a blitz in one of the sales points of a large commercial chain to verify the regularity of the items on display.

«During the inspection – explains the Command – numerous items of Christmas objects were identified (tree decorations, garlands, plastic Christmas baubles) offered for sale without the required labels in Italian and without information regarding the materials employees, the processing method and the supply chain of origin".

Approximately 8,000 non-compliant products were seized , with the owner of the business having been reported to the competent Chamber of Commerce and who now risks a fine of up to 25 thousand euros .
