The man arrested by the police in Olbia was the recipient of a European warrant.

During the control services in the area, the police officers noticed two men who, suspiciously, were wandering around the streets of the city. Once stopped, both did not have documents, so they were taken to the police station and subjected to checks. Initial investigations revealed that a European arrest warrant had been issued for one - a Romanian citizen - for numerous crimes against property in the European Union, including theft and embezzlement.

The man was arrested and taken to the Bancali prison in Sassari.
