A grand return and a huge sporting celebration that will involve hundreds of young judokas in memory of Gioele, the ten-year-old boy hit and killed by a soccer goal in Ozieri a year ago.
After a five-year absence due to Covid and the renovation of the Palasport Amedeo Deiana, the traditional pre-Christmas event of Kan Judo Olbia, directed by Master Angelo Calvisi—the association in which Gioele played—returns to Olbia on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. The 21st Baby Ippon Trophy, under the aegis of Fijlkam, will this year be the Gioele Putzu Memorial. The three tatamis set up for the occasion will host the youth teams of the 38 invited clubs from all over Sardinia, along with approximately 250 young athletes between the ages of 5 and 11.
The team of master Angelo Calvisi, 6th dan black belt, will present itself with a large number of athletes, around forty, led by his collaborators Gavino Carta, 4th dan, Mario Fusaro, 2nd dan and Federica Calvisi, 1st dan.
