Carabinieri from the Olbia Centro station seized a large amount of dangerous homemade fireworks. The officers responded to a checkpoint on Via Mameli, in the historic center of the Gallura town, ahead of New Year's Eve, when a group of young people fled.
The boys left behind a backpack containing about fifty large, homemade explosive devices. The Carabinieri seized the material and began investigating its provenance. The explosive devices were apparently made with black powder and homemade fuses. These devices are extremely dangerous, especially for those who use them, due to the excessive amount of explosives.
