Evening of checks yesterday in the historic center of Olbia, to combat episodes of drug dealing and petty crime. The Fiamme Gialle, together with the State Police Commissioner and the Local Police of Olbia, carried out dozens of interventions to monitor the situation in the Gallura municipality .

In addition to the checks, the positions of individuals with police records for crimes against the person and against property, as well as drug dealing, were examined in depth. The operation led to 21 vehicles being checked and 33 individuals being identified, 2 of whom were reported to the competent Prefecture for possession of narcotic substances with the related seizure of 11.3 grams of hashish and 0.3 grams of cocaine .

This is an activity carried out on a regular basis, which last week had already led to the arrest of an Italian for possession for the purpose of dealing of approximately 400 grams of cannabis derivatives . Some plainclothes finance officers, again yesterday evening, monitored several commercial establishments (especially those known as meeting places for individuals already reported for dealing and petty crime) to check compliance with the rules on the installation and use of cash registers.
