Olbia, fire breaks out in homeless shelter; two people rescued.

The Olbia Fire Brigade responded on Sunday evening to put out a fire that broke out inside an abandoned building near the railway line on Via Nanni, near the level crossing.

The rapid intervention of 115 limited the damage to the building, used as a shelter for the homeless, and prevented the spread of the flames.

Two people inside were rescued and handed over to the 118 medical staff.

The Carabinieri were also on site to carry out the necessary investigations.
