Olbia fined one and a half million for violating sanctions against Russia

It is the first case in Italy. The Guardia di Finanza of Olbia has imposed an administrative fine of one and a half million euros for violation of the sanctions against Russia following the war in Ukraine.
The vessel will be recovered and brought back to the Gallura port.
A Russian oligarch, the captain of the Aldabra mega yacht and the vessel's shipping company have been fined.
The story started from the port of Olbia. The yacht is under seizure following the sanctions, as is the Porto Cervo villa of the tycoon, Rocky Ram, but the captain, evading the controls, took to the sea and took refuge in Tunisia.
The Guardia di Finanza reconstructed the route of the vessel and traced it to a small African port. As a consequence, the military imposed a fine of 500,000 euros each on Dimitri Mazepin, the shipowner, father of Nikita, a Formula One driver, on the company that owns the yacht and on the captain.
