In view of Ferragosto, Olbia is preparing to welcome tourists and visitors but with respect for public peace and the environment. Mayor Settimo Nizzi has issued two ordinances today.

The first concerns the diffusion of music in public establishments that can broadcast it live or reproduced until 5:00 on August 15. After this time, it is authorized exclusively inside suitable soundproofed premises, without it being perceived in homes and in the external environment.

The second ordinance concerns the beaches, a meeting place for the night of the eve of Ferragosto. Camping and lighting fires on the beaches are prohibited, as are bivouacs with tents, chairs and towels, which must be removed no later than 4:00 on the 15th.

From 6pm on the 14th to the same time on the 15th, there will also be a ban on the sale for takeaway, both in fixed and street form, of drinks contained in glass bottles, plastic, tetra brik containers and cans, even if dispensed by vending machines.

The same ban on consumption has been extended to the entire municipal area including beaches, streets and parking areas.
