The tenth edition of Benvenuto Vermentino officially opens its doors. While meetings between producers and buyers of the prized wine are in full swing inside the Archaeological Museum - set up with the excellence of craftsmanship - the words of the Mayor of Olbia, Settimo Nizzi, give the go-ahead to the event. "We have always supported this important event and we will continue to do so with the aim of growing the economy of our territory", he said. " We hope that it can also expand to other wine communities and be held in other locations in the city ".

Daniela Pinna, president of the Vermentino di Gallura Docg protection consortium. "Olbia is an easily accessible city and the economic engine of Gallura," she said. "This is why the event is held here and has become the most important in the sector on the island, with more than one hundred wineries and thousands of visitors. What matters is that with this event we are entering the world of wine : we are putting a pin in this enormous geographical map with the only Vermentino in the world with a controlled designation of origin, and this is thanks to the granite that gives it a great identity."
