Forty former Air Italy employees, unemployed after the airline's bankruptcy, will be relocated: an agreement was signed today between the regional councilor for Labor, Desiré Manca, and Atitech spa, a company that acquired two hangars located at the Costa Smeralda airport, dedicated to aircraft maintenance.

The company has committed to hiring, on a permanent basis, twenty workers, resident or domiciled in Sardinia, by 30 September and the remainder by December.

"Since I took office, just three months ago, I have worked to find a practical solution and to be able to give an immediate and concrete response to the former Air Italy workers, who have been involved for years in the vortex of a dispute with apparently few prospects of resolution," said the councilor. And she added: "I am very satisfied with the result that will allow, for the moment, a group of workers to have stable employment and Sardinia to keep its highly professional staff at home."
