The new Nuoro prosecutor, Daniele Rosa , was sworn in this morning before the president of the Nuoro Court, Mauro Pusceddu, and the Attorney General, Luigi Patronaggio. The president of the Nuoro lawyers' association, Lorenzo Soro, was also present.
Unanimously appointed by the plenary session of the Superior Council of the Judiciary, the handover took place with acting prosecutor Andrea Jacopo Ghironi. Rosa replaces Patrizia Castaldini, who was transferred to Trieste at the beginning of last year.
Today, she takes office, in an area she knows well. She previously served as public prosecutor in Nuoro from 2004 and then in Lanusei from 2009, handling high-profile investigations, including the double homicide of Manasuddas , which occurred in the countryside of Oliena. She then left for Tuscany as a deputy prosecutor, first in Livorno in 2013, then in Siena in 2018, and again in Livorno in 2022.
After a 20-year career in the prosecution service, the Plenum's appointment as chief prosecutor marks a return to Sardinia for Rosa, who is now called upon to lead the Public Prosecutor's Office of the Court of Nuoro.
