More than just a narrow passageway, the two-lane stretch of highway from the 131 DCN to Nuoro, which also connects the industrial area of Prato Sardo, is proving to be a veritable trap . In recent months , the road has been the scene of numerous accidents, two of which were fatal, while others resulted in serious injuries . This worrying pattern once again brings safety to the forefront.

Today, a trivial accident was enough to bring the entire traffic system to a standstill: a car left the road and crashed into a road sign, without involving any other vehicles. Nothing that, under normal conditions, would cause significant traffic disruption.

Instead, as happens all too often now, the necessary safety measures on the stretch of road led to the partial closure of the carriageway and created very long queues in both directions, effectively blocking access to the city.

The fragility of this artery—narrow, lacking alternatives, and with an ever-increasing influx of vehicles—exposes Nuoro to constant risk: a single episode, even a minor one, is enough to completely paralyze circulation.
