Undue perception of public funds provided by the EU.

This is the accusation contested by the Financiers of the Provincial Command of Cagliari against an agricultural entrepreneur from the Nuoro area , at the end of an investigation coordinated by the Rome office of the European Prosecutor's Office.

According to what has been ascertained, the man would have illicitly benefited, between 2017 and 2021, from 110 thousand euros in community contributions, paid for direct support to farmers as part of the Common Agricultural Policy. Contributions to which he was not entitled under anti-mafia legislation, as the pro tempore director of the beneficiary company was the recipient of a special surveillance measure with a residence obligation.

In addition to the criminal charges, the agricultural company and its pro tempore administrator were therefore reported by the Fiamme Gialle to the Court of Auditors for treasury damage and sanctioned for an amount equal to the illicit benefit.

Finally, a report was also made to Argea, the regional body managing and paying for the financing for the recovery of aid unduly received.
