For the president, the bill "also intervenes in a sneaky way on renewable energy"Per restare aggiornato entra nel nostro canale Whatsapp
Sardinia " is a region that cannot accept that a central level decides whether, how and where to include nuclear energy among energy strategies". This was underlined by the president of the Sardinia Region, Alessandra Todde, after the majority summit to agree on a "univocal position" on the bill of "Delegation to the Government on sustainable nuclear energy". Gathered in the press room of the headquarters of the Region, the president Alessandra Todde participated at the table together with all the councilors involved in the delegation - Rosanna Laconi of the Environment, Emanuele Cani of Industry, Francesco Spanedda of Urban Planning, Armando Bartolazzi of Health and Ilaria Portas, head of Culture - together with the majority group leaders and the president of the Regional Council, Piero Comandini. In the introduction, Todde explained how "as soon as we received the text of the bill, we understood that it is a blank delegation , which cuts all the prerogatives of the Regions in terms of energy . This is even more true for Sardinia which, as a region with a special statute, has primary competence on urban planning. A very broad and comprehensive law that ranges from the construction of power plants to research, from health implications to those on the urban and landscape level, a law - continued the president of the Council - that intervenes in a subtle way also on renewable energy and that above all comes from a government that on the one hand pushes for differentiated autonomy and here instead on the contrary wants to centralize all power and competence at a national level on such an important issue as energy and in particular on nuclear power".
"We want to have a univocal regional position and make a common front with the other Regions in view of the technical table scheduled for May 22 and thus be able to have more strength in opposing the text that was proposed to us". The president therefore proposed a political position that, as on the national nuclear waste repository, says that the Island wants to choose alone on nuclear power and energy strategies , and "this is certainly not due to ideological preclusions or political expediency, but because the technology currently available does not provide enough guarantees, given that the so-called fourth generation plants do not exist and the current ones still involve the production of nuclear waste". The position of president Todde was supported by all the majority groups. After their speeches, the Board and councilors agreed on the proposal for a "technical meeting with the majority regional councilors to illustrate the delegation law and its process".
