Cloudy skies, some scattered rain and mild temperatures. The New Year's weekend in Sardinia will be marked by a stable climate even if it will not be kissed by the sun.

This was confirmed by the experts of the Decimomannu Air Force weather office.

«The general situation sees the central-western Mediterranean affected by high and level pressures which prevent the entry of important disturbances - explain the meteorologists - however there is a humid flow which provides stratiform coverage».

In particular, in the first part of the day on Saturday 30th, clouds are expected due to the presence of medium-high clouds, with an accentuation of the coverage in the evening and night when scattered light rains are also expected on the western part of the island.

«Temperatures will be stationary or slightly increasing - the experts specify - with maximums around 15-17 degrees and minimums around 9-10 degrees in the flat and coastal areas, while in the internal areas and in the reliefs they drop to 4-5 degrees ».

Ventilation will be weak and variable with slightly rough seas. For Sunday 31st there will be clear or slightly cloudy skies «with an increase in coverage during the day - meteorologists warn - even if no precipitation is expected. Maximum temperatures remain between 15-17 degrees, minimums between 8 and 10 degrees in the flat and coastal areas."

The winds will be moderate from the western quadrants, slightly rough seas with a slight increase in wave motion in the Oristano area.

«For the first of the year we expect a cloudy sky with light rain in the western sectors and in the central areas - continue the experts from the Air Force weather office - with temperatures slightly decreasing by 1-2 degrees. Ventilation will be weak from the western quadrants. No particular precipitation."
