Sardinia ready to mobilize after the presentation of the projects for offshore wind farms - thirteen in total - which provide for the installation in the sea of the island of almost seven hundred blades from three hundred meters in height capable of providing a total energy power from nearly ten thousand megawatts .

"The Region wants to decide where to install renewable energy systems and wants to do so by discussing and deciding together with the local communities and the mayors of our territories who must not be excluded from the planning of territorial development", the regional councilor told Videolina Anita Pili Industry .

Gianni Lampis , regional councilor for the environment , underlines instead that "all the proposals received so far are lacking in terms of documents and the significant impacts they produce and yesterday we expressed our opposition to two projects planned in southern Sardinia".

The plans for the new plants are distributed as follows : nine requests concern the south of the island (4 only those off the Gulf of Angels in Cagliari), another four concern Oristano, Porto Torres, the archipelago of La Maddalena and the Costa Smeralda.

Meanwhile, while many mayors also express their opposition and perplexity, an ad hoc agenda will be voted on in the regional council in the coming days. This document, explains the leader of the Cinquestelle Movement Roberto Li Gioi , "will commit the President of the Region to do everything in his power to support the administrations in their just battle to prevent our land from becoming a land of conquest by energy speculators, without, among other things, there being the least economic return for Sardinian citizens ".

In recent days, the dem Roberto Deriu also presented a motion on a project for the installation of blades in the stretch of sea between Olbia and Siniscola, while the councilor of the Psd'Az Elena Fancello recalled that "we are not against renewable sources, we are, however, to the servants ".
