Abbanoa is progressing with the water network efficiency upgrade project in Sassari , which will involve the complete replacement of over 7 kilometers of pipes . The work is part of the contract for "Interventions aimed at reducing water losses and districting networks in 15 municipalities in Sardinia," which represents a total investment of €42 million, secured by Abbanoa through funds from the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.
Sassari is among the cities receiving a significant portion of this investment: over €6.6 million. The projects aim to upgrade the water network through a series of pipeline replacement or decommissioning projects based on their criticality index, or pipelines of insufficient diameter or unsuitable material. The goal is to further streamline the operation of the entire water system serving the city, thereby reducing water losses.
CONSTRUCTION WORKS – On Monday, construction work will affect two particularly sensitive roads: Viale Mameli and Viale Caprera, between Viale Trento and Viale San Francesco. For this reason, the Municipality, under the direction of the Local Police Command, activated a task force in recent weeks to define the detailed schedule of the works, aiming to minimize disruption to traffic.
