The funding is there, but the work is not taking off. The former Carlo Felice, the main entrance to Macomer from Cagliari and Oristano and the only connection to the industrial area of Tossilo, has been waiting for four months for the intervention to secure a landslide front , with the construction of a wall to contain the ridge that overlooks the road.

The Province, which owns the road, initially intervened by creating an alternating one-way system regulated by traffic lights , which is causing inconvenience and generating protests, especially from companies operating in the industrial area of Tossilo and from hundreds of motorists.

The topic was addressed in the last meeting of the city council, where the councilor for public works, Aldo Demontis, explained the current situation: «We have been urging the Province for months, calling the technical office every day», says the councilor. «We know that a designer was recently appointed to study a project concerning the construction of a wall to contain the entire landslide front, over 100 meters long. They still haven't told us when the intervention can be carried out. From what we have been able to find out, the start of the work could take place no earlier than next month , but to be certain we are waiting for answers from the Province, which we continue to urge».
