Cagliari coach Fabio Pisacane's brother, Gianluca, 28, was wounded in the leg by gunshots fired overnight in Naples, outside his club in the Spanish Quarter. The state police are investigating the incident. The news was reported by the local edition of Fanpage, which—like Ansa—also reported the involvement of the coach's 68-year-old father in the attack, who was reportedly beaten and required hospital treatment.

The Rossoblu club has announced that the father arrived on the scene only after the violence had ended. This version is also confirmed by the coach himself: "My father was not attacked," he reiterates.

According to what emerged—and what the Cagliari coach, who interviewed his relatives, told him—around 3:00 a.m., young Pisacane was closing up PisaDog Spritz, a bar frequented by young people on Vico Tre Re in Toledo, on the corner of Vico Lungo Teatro Nuovo, when he was approached by three uncovered men. He fought back, and during the struggle, the assailants fired, wounding him with two minor shots. He was treated at the Vecchio Pellegrini Hospital, where his father was also reportedly seen.

The dynamics of the incident, beyond the victims' accounts, are still being reconstructed. The investigation is being handled by the Naples Flying Squad.

The Pisacane family has leaked the hypothesis of a robbery attempt gone wrong. But according to some witnesses gathered in the alleys of the Neapolitan neighborhood, a waitress at the bar had been harassed by some young women during the evening , and Gianluca Pisacane intervened to protect her.

Later, three men showed up, perhaps linked to the customers from the previous brawl . One was armed and fired. The Pisacanes' father was also reportedly beaten.

"They didn't want to tell me so as not to worry me," the Cagliari coach wrote on social media, "but my brother is fine. My father wasn't attacked. I've received so many phone calls in the last few hours. I truly thank everyone for their support and affection."
